Scripts de gênero, literatura infantil e morte na construção de repertórios emocionais na infância

Abstract

Esta tese tem o compromisso de refletir sobre a literatura infantil e suas possíveis contribuições para pensar acerca da temática da morte e da construção de um repertório emocional desde a infância. Assim, sustentada nos Estudos de Gênero e dos Estudos Culturais, a presente pesquisa procurou analisar, a partir da mediação da literatura infantil, de que maneira as infâncias, o tema da morte e os scripts de gênero, podem contribuir para o desenvolvimento e a ampliação dos repertórios emocionais das crianças, capacitando-as a lidar com diferentes expressões de emoções e sentimentos, especialmente quando se trata de temas sensíveis como a morte. Metodologicamente a pesquisa se caracteriza como qualitativa, a partir da análise cultural de dez obras literárias voltadas para o público infantil. Dessa maneira foi possível identificar que: a) os aspectos culturais conduzem a conduta do nosso olhar e do nosso sentir acerca da morte; b) mesmo sendo apresentada de diferentes formas, a morte seguidamente é exposta nos livros como algo que acontece somente com adultos, especialmente idosos/as; c) o repertório emocional evidenciado nas páginas das obras são atrelados aos scripts de gênero; d) a sobrecarga laboral das mulheres é naturalizada e romantizada nas histórias analisadas. Conclui-se, reafirmando a importância do desenvolvimento de repertórios emocionais em crianças desde a infância para que saibam identificar e lidar com emoções e sentimentos que envolvam o luto pela morte, ressaltando a importância de discutirmos essas temáticas na formação docente, em especial na educação infantil.

This thesis aims to reflect on children's literature and its possible contributions to thinking about the theme of death and the construction of an emotional repertoire from childhood. Thus, supported by Gender Studies and Cultural Studies, this research sought to analyze, through the mediation of children's literature, how childhoods, the theme of death and gender scripts can contribute to the development and expansion of children's emotional repertoires, enabling them to deal with different expressions of emotions and feelings, especially when it comes to sensitive topics such as death. Methodologically, the research is characterized as qualitative, based on the cultural analysis of ten literary works aimed at children. Thus, it was possible to identify that: a) cultural aspects guide the way we look at and feel about death; b) even though it is presented in different ways, death is often portrayed in books as something that only happens to adults, especially the elderly; c) the emotional repertoire evidenced in the pages of the works is linked to gender scripts; d) the work overload of women is naturalized and romanticized in the stories analyzed. The conclusion is to reaffirm the importance of developing emotional repertoires in children from childhood so that they know how to identify and deal with emotions and feelings that involve mourning death, highlighting the importance of discussing these themes in teacher training, especially in early childhood education.
