| pt_BR |
dc.description.abstract | This thesis deals with presence as an ethical-political agency device. Starting from the philosophical investigation of the concept throughout the tradition of Western thought, the understanding of presence is problematized from the phenomenon of the popularization of the Internet and social networks that ended up assembling relationships increasingly mediated by devices connected to the World Wide Web. Finally, it questions the production of presence in contemporaneity from the phenomena of subjectivation introduced by neoliberalism in the 1970s, the device of “sacrificial citizenship”, the corrosive effects on the perspective of globalization, the 2008 financial crisis and the recent phenomenon of neo-fascism as a subjective response and of governmentality at a global level. The research plan of the thesis took place in the insertion in schools, football stadiums, extreme right groups on WhatsApp and Telegram, investigation and research on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube among other social networks, as well as the participation and monitoring of protests and political mobilizations, especially from the beginning of the electoral campaign for the presidency of Brazil in 2018, also going through the subjective, economic, political reflexes and the pandemic and covid-19 that emerged in 2020 and the respective unfolding of the actions of the federal government of Jair Bolsonaro. At the end of the work, some clues and strategies for the production of good presences are proposed, that is, contact with the power and constitution of other evaluative, subjective and affective circuits, which promote multiplicity in the reverse of the normalization of existences. | en |
