Avaliação da aplicação de uma ferramenta pedagógica para o estudo do fumo passivo com os licenciandos em biologia da Universidade Regional do Cariri, CE

Abstract

A exposição à fumaça de tabaco tem sido objeto de pouca discussão no âmbito escolar. O objetivo deste estudo foi identificar a percepção dos alunos licenciandos da Universidade Regional do Cariri – URCA do Curso de Biologia, sobre a ferramenta pedagógica – gibi “Pulmão e sua turma”, e os efeitos do fumo passivo, a fim de contribuir para a sua formação bem, como aplicá-las no cotidiano. Trata-se de uma abordagem de natureza qualitativa. Utilizou-se, na coleta de dados, dois questionários em momentos específicos da pesquisa, contendo dez perguntas abertas aos alunos do segundo, quinto e oitavo semestre da disciplina de Ação Docente Supervisionada-ADS, da Universidade Regional do Cariri-URCA-Campus Crato e Campos Sales-CE e que dispuseram participar voluntariamente. Os resultados indicam que os participantes da pesquisa entendem a importância de se promover saúde na escola e de uma abordagem mais significativa sobre os temas transversais no processo de graduação, entendem também a relevância da prática docente voltada para a promoção da saúde e as dificuldades de inserir os temas nas escolas. Ficou evidente o desconhecimento dos alunos entrevistados no estudo sobre o tema em questão. Os resultados da pesquisa destacam a importância da ferramenta pedagógica como um material de apoio de ensino lúdico insubstituível quando se trata de uma técnica de ensino inovadora já que, o próprio aluno estará aprendendo o conteúdo explorado de forma eficiente e dinâmica. Os dados mostram a necessidade de uma maior abordagem sobre os temas transversais na formação desses futuros professores, repensando em uma nova proposta curricular como sugestão para o curso, que seja voltada para o preparo real da vida e para solucionar problemas de todas as naturezas, não apenas científicos, de forma que esta possa incentivar a promoção da saúde nas escolas, ajudar na formação inicial dos saberes docentes dos licenciandos, sobretudo para dar-lhes segurança sobre o tema em sua futura atuação como professor. Em conjunto, observa-se a existência de uma grande distância entre a teorização e o que é feito na prática.

The objective of this study is to identify the students 'perceptions of the University of Cariri - URCA of the Biology Course, about the pedagogical tool - gibi "Lung and its class", the students' conceptions about transversal themes and passive smoking and their effects on the biological system. Analyzing it in the conception of the future professors of the Course of Degree in Biological Sciences of the Regional University of Cariri - URCA, contributing to its formation as well as applying the teaching practices. The present study is a qualitative approach. Two questionnaires were applied at specific moments of the research, containing ten questions open to the students of the second, fifth and eighth semester of the Supervised Teaching-ADS course of the Regional University of Cariri- URCA-Campus Crato and Campos Sales-CE and who wanted to participate voluntarily. The results indicate that the participants of the research understand the importance of promoting health at school and a more meaningful approach on the transversal themes in the graduation process, they also understand the relevance of teaching practice focused on health promotion and the difficulties of inserting themes in schools. It was evident the lack of knowledge of the students interviewed in the study on the subject in question. The research results highlight the importance of the pedagogic tool as an irreplaceable play teaching support material when it comes to an innovative teaching technique since the student himself will be learning the content explained in an efficient and dynamic way. The data show the need for a greater approach on cross-cutting themes in the training of these future teachers, rethinking in a new curricular proposal as a suggestion for the course, which is directed to the real preparation of life and to solve problems of all natures, not only scientific, so that it can encourage the promotion of health in schools, help in the initial training of the teachers' knowledge of the graduates, and to give them security on the subject in their future role as a teacher. Through the analysis of the obtained data, it is observed the existence of a great distance between theorization and what is done in the practice.
