O sincretismo nas imagens móveis : DVD 'O universo da arte - Fayga Ostrower'

Abstract

O trabalho objetiva conhecer, analisar e entender como se dá o sincretismo de linguagens em produção com imagem móvel. Trata-se da compreensão dos enunciatários, convocados, sensorialmente, a apreender o sentido do DVD “O Universo da Arte – Fayga Ostrower”; identificar os efeitos de sentido que se realizam no encontro dos destinatários com o texto sincrético e analisar a espécie de informação e conhecimento que o documentário traz ao grupo focal da pesquisa e o que esse grupo agrega às suas vidas. Os participantes da pesquisa são alunos da primeira série do Ensino Médio de uma escola pública federal de Porto Alegre, que fazem parte do grupo de artes visuais. O procedimento adotado para a análise do corpus é a semiótica greimasiana, mais conhecida como semiótica discursiva ou francesa. Assim, faz-se uma leitura semiótica do DVD referido, o qual tem a duração de 15 minutos e é realizado pela Rede Senac de Televisão, São Paulo. No decorrer da pesquisa constatou-se o grau de importância que a obra audiovisual assumiu para os jovens que a assistiram, como também tornou-se clara sua função cultural. A semiotização do texto objeto do estudo possibilitou-me investigar as estratégias de figurativização, a temática e manipulação, que se evidenciaram a partir da enunciação do plano de conteúdo, que se concretiza pelo sincretismo de linguagens no plano de expressão. É na semiose entre os dois planos que se produz o sentido vivenciado pelos enunciatários, sendo que a parceria entre enunciador e enunciatário e o texto em análise, através da semiotização, busca atingir o objetivo precípuo dessa investigação, que é analisar a obra através das reflexões de teóricos como: A.J. Greimas, E. Landowski, J.M. Floch, Ana Claudia de Oliveira, Maria Sílvia Fantinatti, Christianne Maria da Bôa Viagem Oliveira, Ana Sílvia Médola e Jacques Fontanille.

The aim of this study is to provide knowledge, assessment and understanding of linguistic syncretism in a digital moving image production. It deals specifically with the hearers’ understanding of the DVD “The Universe of Art” – Fayga Ostrower; with the identification of the effects of meaning hearers can elicit from the syncretic text, and with the analysis of the type of information and knowledge conveyed by the documentary to the focal research group and of its influence on hearers' lives. Junior high school students belonging to the visual arts group of a federal public school in Porto Alegre, southern Brazil, participated in the study. Greimas’ semiotics, best known as discursive semiotics or French semiotics, was used for corpus analysis. The 15-minute DVD, produced by Rede Senac de Televisão, São Paulo, Brazil, was semiotically analyzed. During the semiotic analysis, one could perceive the importance that the DVD had for those students who watched it. Its cultural function was also clear. The semiotization of the text under analysis allowed investigating figurativization strategies, thematic and manipulation, which could be evidenced through enunciation on the plane of meaning, concretized by linguistic syncretism on the plane of expression. It is by the semiosis between these two planes that the meaning grasped by hearers is constructed. The relationship between speaker and hearer and the text, using semiotic analysis, constitute the primary goal of this investigation, i.e., to analyze the object of study based on the theories formulated by A.J. Greimas, E. Landowski, J.M. Floch, Ana Claudia de Oliveira, Maria Sílvia Fantinatti, Christianne Maria da Bôa Viagem Oliveira, Ana Sílvia Médola and Jacques Fontanille.
