O Direito Internacional da Concorrência é o direito que protege o exercício da liberdade de concorrência. Liberdade esta que, com o desenvolvimento do mundo globalizado, vem sendo atacada pelas multinacionais, causando prejuízo às economias tanto locais quanto internacionais, assim como aos consumidores, se fazendo necessária a intervenção Estatal para regulação desses conflitos. A primeira tentativa de solução veio por meio da Teoria dos Efeitos, que, apesar de tentar obter sucesso para restringir as práticas anticoncorrenciais, veio a causar reações adversas na comunidade internacional. Desta forma, frente ao insucesso dessa doutrina, outras medidas se fizeram necessárias. Várias tentativas com vistas à regulamentação internacional da concorrência em prol do comércio e da sociedade internacional foram observadas. São conhecidas tentativas que remontam o pós-Primeira Guerra, com a Liga das Nações; e no pós-segunda guerra, com a Organização das Nações Unidas, a Carta de havana, o Conselho Europeu, com os acordos de Bretton Woods e o Acordo Geral sobre Tarifas e Comércio – GATT, a OCDE, a UNCTAD e a OMC. ...

The International Competition Law is the regulation that protects the freedom of competition. Freedom in which that, with the development of the globalized world, comes under attack by multinationals, causing damage to the economies both local and international, as well as consumers, making it necessary for State intervention to regulate these conflicts. The first attempt at solution came through the Effects Doctrine, which, despite trying to succeed to restrict anti-competitive practices, came to cause adverse reactions in the international community. Thus, facing the failure of this doctrine, other measures were required. Several attempts aimed at international competition rules in favor of trade and international societies were observed. Are known attempts dating back to post-World War I, the League of Nations; and in the post-Second World War, with the United Nations, the Havana Charter, the European Council with the Bretton Woods agreements and the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade - GATT, OECD, UNCTAD and the WTO. ...
