Desamparo e criação : o trabalho de profissionais da saúde nas enchentes do Rio Grande Do Sul

Abstract

Essa dissertação contempla uma pesquisa na qual buscou-se acessar e compreender as particularidades do trabalho exercido frente às enchentes ocorridas em maio de 2024, no Rio Grande do Sul. As inundações decorrentes da intensidade das chuvas provocaram muitos danos e devastações na vida das pessoas. Assim, considera-se relevante acessar as narrativas de profissionais que atuaram diretamente, mediante suas atividades de trabalho, no socorro e apoio à população mais atingida pelos danosos efeitos decorrentes desse evento catastrófico. Nesse sentido, foram realizadas entrevistas com seis trabalhadores da saúde inseridos em distintas áreas de atuação: um educador físico, duas psicólogas, uma enfermeira, uma farmacêutica e uma médica. O delineamento metodológico foi construído na proposta intitulada Três Tempos do Testemunho e teve como objetivos específicos acessar o testemunho destes profissionais da saúde a fim de conhecer suas vivências de trabalho e identificar desafios suscitados no contexto da catástrofe. Através da análise de seus testemunhos, foi possível organizar dois eixos de discussão, intitulados Urgências, instabilidades e desafios à criatividade no território-abrigo: o trabalho no contexto traumático; e Inundações, efeitos e a imposição do desamparo ao sujeito trabalhador. A pesquisa realizada permitiu desvelar os impactos de tal experiência na subjetividade do trabalhador, as demandas de criação frente às incontornáveis alterações do contexto e das rotinas, bem como os efeitos subjetivos decorrentes da progressiva aproximação de particularidades entre a vida pessoal e o trabalho dos profissionais da saúde junto aos vitimados pelas enchentes. Os impasses vividos nesse contexto disruptivo revelaram a acentuação de condições de precarização e desigualdades já existentes, a centralidade adquirida pela angústia frente à ocorrência de eventos traumáticos, assim como a relevância do endereçamento alteritário. Foi possível, na pesquisa realizada, identificar a solidariedade e a criatividade como importantes recursos subjetivos e coletivos frente a experiências traumáticas. A relevância da narrativa como fator que promove recursos elaborativos se evidenciou em diferentes dimensões: nas ajudas ofertadas desde o laço social, no compartilhamento entre pares e na reflexão que a estrutura da entrevista da pesquisa possibilitou aos trabalhadores.

The present study reflects research with the aim of accessing and understanding the particularities of the work done in the face of the flood of May 2024, Rio Grande do Sul state, Brazil. The flood derived from the intensity of rains, leading to severe damage and devastation in the lives of people. We therefore consider it relevant to access the narratives told by professionals who faced this situation directly, via their job activities, rescuing and supporting those who were the most affected by the catastrophic effects of that event. For such goal, we interviewed six individual health works: one physical educator, two psychologists, one nurse, one pharmaceutical, and one physician. The methodology was based on the Three Times of Testimony, and aimed at accessing the testimonies of those health workers, getting to know their work experiences and identifying the challenges faced during the catastrophe. By analyzing their testimonies, we organized two axes for discussion: Urgencies, instabilities and challenges to creativity in the shelter-territory: work in traumatic context, and Floods, effects and the imposition of helplessness to the worker-subject. The present research allowed us to unveil the impacts of such an experience on the subjectivities of workers, as well as the demands for creation facing inescapable changes in the context and the everyday, and the subjective effects deriving from the progressive erosion of boundaries between personal and professional lives for those health workers assisting victims of the flood. The challenges faced in such disruptive context further expose and intensify pre-existing inequalities and precariousness, as well as the centrality gained by anguish for those facing traumatic events, and the importance of addressing alterity. In the present study we were able to identify solidarity and creativity as key subjective and collective resources in the face of traumatic experiences. The relevance of narrative as an elaborative resource became evident in distinct dimensions: instances of help offered from social bonds, sharing with peers, and reflections made possible by our structure of interviewing.
