"Agora eu faço parte dessa história aí" : narrativas da existência de mulheres negras no pensamento-ação de Claudete Barbosa Pereira (Butiá/RS, 1930 - tempo presente)

Abstract

O silêncio sobre as mulheres negras na história da região das minas de carvão do estado do Rio Grande do Sul, bem como o enclausuramento de suas histórias no lugar do trabalho doméstico na historiografia de uma forma mais geral, nos provocou nesta dissertação a analisar a existência do grupo no pensamento-ação de Claudete Barbosa Pereira. O contexto se insere na localidade de Butiá e o recorte temporal parte da década de 1930, período mais recuado alcançado pela memória do pós-abolição. A fim de destacar a intelectualidade da interlocutora da pesquisa, acessamos em registros orais e audiovisuais produzidos entre os anos de 2020 e 2023, aspectos relacionados às vidas das mulheres que pavimentaram seu caminho. As análises, manejadas à luz do pensamento de mulheres negras nos permitiram verificar que a interlocutora por meio de narrativas da memória familiar e práticas culturais relacionadas às tradições femininas, transmitiu a história das mulheres negras de Butiá nos oferecendo elementos que evidenciam a presença ancestral do grupo na formação da localidade. No tocante a este aspecto o estudo contribui para discussões que reconheçam os saberes e fazeres de mulheres negras como fontes legítimas na produção do conhecimento histórico.

The silence about black women in the history of the coal mining region of Rio Grande do Sul, as well as the confinement of their stories to the realm of domestic work in historiography more generally, prompted us in this dissertation to analyze the existence about this group in the thought and action of Claudete Barbosa Pereira. The context is situated in the locality of Butiá, and the time frame begins in the 1930s, the earliest period reached by the memory of the post-abolition. In order to highlight the intellectuality of the research interlocutor, we accessed oral and audiovisual records produced between 2020 and 2023, focusing on aspects related to the lives of the women who paved her way. The analyses, conducted through the lens of Black women's thought, allowed us to verify that the interviewee, through narratives of family memory and cultural practices related to feminine traditions, transmitted the history of Black women from Butiá, offering elements that highlight the ancestral presence of the group in the formation of the locality. In this respect, the study contributes to discussions that recognize the knowledge and practices of Black women as legitimate sources in the production of historical knowledge.
