“Inventário dos dias” de HIV e AIDS : (imagens da morte - morte das imagens)

Abstract

Neste trabalho, trato da paradoxal disposição da morte - enquanto imagem e experiência concreta - na história das epidemias de hiv e aids no Brasil. Ao perceber que tais epidemias se revelam sob duas faces contraditórias e entrepostas, marcadas pela presença e ausência da morte, me lanço resgate de narrativas que contam sobre essa experiência histórica, no intuito de compreender como a morte se revela e se oculta nesse cenário. Fundamentado em uma perspectiva materialista histórico-dialética, procuro capturar e traduzir os elementos, contradições e determinações concretas que (re)produzem tal fenômeno. Nesse processo, desvelo imagens da morte que, por um lado, expressam a realidade através de uma falsa consciência - que projeta uma visão mítica, fetichizada, fragmentada e estranha às relações sócio-históricas. Tais narrativas, além de (re)produzirem uma práxis alienante e estigmatizante, anunciam uma renúncia política e ideológica da verdade e da memória histórica: uma verdadeira morte das imagens - que caem em esquecimento, abandono, empobrecimento e negação. Por outro lado, descubro imagens da morte que a abordam como uma experiência genuína, elaborada através de uma visão sensível de mundo, e que manifestam um gesto de renúncia à morte das imagens e das imagens da morte como única possibilidade do corpo, do erotismo, da sociabilidade e da história das pessoas soropositivas sem, porém, renunciar à sua lembrança. Ao trabalhar com tais imagens, além de fazer emergir os elementos da verdade histórica da experiência das epidemias, proponho uma remontagem e uma (re)escritura da sua história, fundada em uma política da memória.

In this work, I address the paradoxical disposition of death - as images and as a concrete experience - in the history of the hiv and aids epidemics in Brazil. By realizing that suchepidemics reveal themselves in two contradictory and overlapping facets, marked by the presence and absence of death, I embark on the task of bringing back narratives that tell stories about this historical experience, with the purpose of understanding how death reveals and hides itself in this scenario. Based on a historical-dialectal materialist perspective, I intend to capture and translate the elements, contradictions and concrete determinations that (re) produce such phenomenon. Throughout this process, I unveil images of death that, on the one hand, Express reality through a false consciousness - a mythical, fetishized and fragmented view, which is alien to socio-historical relations. Such narratives, in addition to (re)producing an alienating and stigmatizing praxis, announce a political and ideological renunciation of truth and history: a true death of images - which end up forgotten, abandoned and denied. On the other hand, I discover images of death that approach it as a genuine experience, which are elaborated through a sensitive view of the world and manifest a gesture of renouncing the death of images and the images of death as the only possibility for the bodies, eroticism, sociability and the stories of hiv-positive people without, however, renouncing their memory. By working with these images, in addition to bringing out the elements of the historical truth of experiencing these epidemics, I propose to reassemble and rewrite their histories, based on a policy of memory.
