Quarta Natureza para o Quarto Distrito : tudo está conectado

Abstract

A história da relação homem-Natureza ao longo do tempo é, na verdade, a história dos produtos de da ação humana sobre a Natureza - a história de nossa cultura. A segunda Natureza enunciada por Cícero antes de Cristo já falava das alterações feitas pelo homem para atender suas necessidades básicas: estradas, plantações e desvios de rios possibilitando a locomoção e a alimentação. Este conceito deixa evidente a existência de uma primeira Natureza, a pristina, a intocada, o reiono dos deuses. Já no Renascimento, italianos como o historiador Bonfadio, que segundo estudiosos estaria ciente do conceito de Cícero, explicitam uma terceita Natureza - una Terza Natura - na qual os mais elaborados jardins uniam técnica e arte à beleza da Natureza ao criar esplendorosos lugares para o deleite humano. No atual momento, único na história da humanidade, de crise ambiental, de pandemia, de assombro diante de nossa fragilidade e de nossa capacidade de autodestruição, esta pesquisa busca na bibliografia clássica e também na atual, assim como na análise in loco da cidade de Viena (considerada a cidade com mais alta qualidade de vida no mundo nos últimos dez anos), o conceito do que seria a Quarta Natureza. Dois pontos fundamentam o resultado: ela é a Natureza proveniente de uma nova consciência. Uma nova consciência humana de autoconhecimento, de unidade, de pertencimento e principalmente de que tudo está concetado e é mutuamente influenciado. A hipótese defendida é otimista: acredita que o ser humano portador dessa nova consciência, desprovido de egocentrismo, mas ciente de suas reais potencialidades criadoras, poderá através dos preceitos da Quarta Natureza passar de agente destruidor do universo, protagonista do Antropoceno, para o agente verdadeiramente criador de uma nova realidade, garantindo sua sobrevivência no planeta em uma nova era. Criando, transformando e evoluindo, baseado e aliado ao seu verdadeiro eu, que é a própria Natureza em si. Segundo ponto: nossa capacidade de criação é gigantesca - chegando a nos equiparar à Natureza. Ela precisa apenas ser ajustada para ser usada em sintonia com o mundo natural - nossa evolução tecnológica deve ser posicionada com intenção de nos reconectar e não afastar do meio ambiente. Este pensamento é válido para toda e qualquer nova ação sobre o planeta, mas inicia-se de forma mais contundente em nossas cidades, onde nossa grande maioria vive e onde os maiores problemas hoje existem. A requalificação urbana será palavra-chave deste novo momento, para o qual os fundamentos da Quarta Natureza serão essenciais nas mais diferentes formas e intensidades, entendendo a cidade como uma das formas da Natureza. O quarto Distrito, na cidade de Porto Alegre está esperando para ser o laboratório deste novo mundo.

The history of man-Nature relationship over time is in fact the history of human action on Nature, the history of our culture. The second Nature enunciated by Cicero before Christ, already spoke of the changes made by man to meet his basic needs. Roads, plantations, changing rivers courses, made locomotion and food production possible. This concept makes evident the existence of a first Nature, the pristine, the untouched, the kingdom of the gods. In the Renaissance, Italians like the historicist Bonfadio, who according to researchers would be aware of the concept of Cicero, brought up the concept of a Third Nature - una Terza Natura - where the most elaborate gardens combined technique and art with the beauty of Nature, creating splendid places for the human delight. At this right moment, unique in the history of manking, of environmental crisis, of pandemic, of astonishment at our fragility and our capacity for self-destruction, this research seeks in the classic and in the present bibliography, as well as in the on-site analysis of the city of Vienna (considered the city with the highest life quality in the world for the last ten years), what would the concept of Fourth Nature be. Two points support the result: it is Nature from a new consciousness. A new human consciousness of self-knowledge, of unity, of belonging and, above all, that everything in connected and mutually influenced. The hypothesis defended is optimistic, and believes that the human being with this new conscience, devoid of self-centeredness but aware of its real creative potencial can, through the precepts of the Fourth Nature, move from the position of destructive agent of the universe, the protagonist of the Anthropocene, to the truly creative agent of a new reality, guaranteeing its survival on the planet in a new era. Creating, transforming and evolving, based on and allied to his true self, which is Nature itself. Second point: our capacity for creation is huge - coming even to match Nature's levels. It only needs to be adjusted to be used in tune with the natural world - our technological evolution must be positioned with the intention of reconnecting us and not departing us from our environment. This thought is valid for any new action on the planet, but is starts more forcefully in our cities, where our vast majority live and where the biggest problems today exist. Urban requalification will be the key word of this new moment, for which the foundations of the Fourth Nature will be essential - in the most different forms and intensities: understanding the city itself as one of the forms of Nature. The Fourth District, in the city of Porto Alegre, is waiting to be laboratory of this new world.
