This Masters dissertation is the result of a research that had as motivating question to know if and how the foucaultian philosophical perspective can act with Environmental Education. In this sense, the objective of the study was to examinate how the concept of ubuesque power can serve to cast another glance to the referred education. The theoretical basis that sustained the examination of the concept of ubuesque power is related to the studies of Foucault, specifically the classes that make up the work Abnormal (1974-1975). According to Foucault, the ubuesque power integrates a speech that contains, at once, three properties: the power of life and death, the power of truth and the power to make one laugh. Beyond that, by the ubuesque power occurs the maximization of the effects of power from the disqualification of who makes it. The study was based on the Cartography method, by which it was sought to investigate the production of this foucaultian analytical tool. This way, following trails, mapping senses and unfoldings in the process of its construction that was sought the articulation of the ubuesque power with themes related to the present environmental crisis and that find place with the theme of Environmental Education. For this, the used empirical material comprehended theorizations that boosted and somehow approached the concept, as well as speeches about environmental issues and constitute one discursive network of Environmental Education. Woven network with the double function of support and target to the study of the concept of ubuesque power. The analytical exercise showed that: 1) the speech that covers the ubuesque power integrates the discursive network of Environmental Education, 2) the effects of the speech around the ubuesque power can affect both the human and to have resonances in the non-human, 3) the speech that convers this concept diagonalizes the other power categories (disciplinary, pastoral and sovereign), maximizing its effects of power. Therefore, it can be stated that the ubuesque power has potentialities of study because of the speech in which is integrated.en
