História da Matemática em sala de aula a partir das falas dos professores

Abstract

Neste Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso de Graduação em Licenciatura em Matemática, realizamos uma pesquisa que buscou investigar quais compreensões os professores de Matemática apresentam sobre a História da Matemática no ensino de Matemática na Educação Básica. Para tanto, foram entrevistados cinco professores de Matemática que lecionam a disciplina de Matemática no ensino público e noturno na cidade de Porto Alegre. As entrevistas foram gravadas e transcritas. As análises foram realizadas na perspectiva da Análise Textual Discursiva. Verificamos por meio das falas dos professores que existe uma necessidade de ampliação dos conhecimentos dos professores de Matemática quanto às potencialidades pedagógicas da História da Matemática visando a uma propagação do uso da História da Matemática na Educação Básica.

In this Work of Graduation Course Ending in Degree in Mathematics, we performed a research that sought to investigate which understandings math teachers present on the History of Mathematics in the teaching of Math in Basic Education. In order to that, five math teachers who teach the Math subject in the public nocturnal education in the city of Porto Alegre were interviewed. The interviews were recorded and transcribed. The analyses were performed in the perspective of the Discursive Textual Analysis. We verified through the teachers' statements that there is a need to expand the knowledge of math teachers about the pedagogical potentialities of the History of Mathematics looking to a propagation of the use of the History of Mathematics in Basic Education.
