Reflexões sobre o racismo e sua influência nas políticas públicas

Abstract

Este trabalho tem como tema principal, a discussão sobre a escravidão, discriminação e o preconceito racial no Brasil. Uma leitura romântica das obras de Freire, cremos numa nação praticamente livre. O mito da democracia racial construiu um discurso ideológico que, ao defender a não existência de conflitos entre negros e brancos, desviou o olhar do Estado e da população brasileira de toda a atrocidade cometida contra todo o povo de origem africana ocorrido antes e pós-escravidão. O grande problema dessa cordialidade racial, inexistente, é que ela perpetua não somente o preconceito, mas garantem que as desigualdades sociais e econômicas se mantenham crescentes. Na Europa do século XIX avança a teoria no livro „‟O homem delinqüente‟‟ de César Lombroso que com seu paradigma etiológico, defende seleciona e segrega uma „‟minoria anormal‟‟ para suas teses. O médico-legista Nina Rodrigues, representante escravista no Brasil, que teoricamente acabara de abolir o maior sistema escravagista do mundo. A hierarquização das raças tem provocado um crescente acirramento da discriminação em virtude de políticas publicas, ações afirmativas e direitos fundamentais.

This work has as main theme, the discussion on slavery, discrimination and racial prejudice in Brazil. A romantic reading of Freire's works, we believe in a practically free nation. The myth of racial democracy built an ideological discourse that, in defending the non-existence of conflicts between blacks and whites, diverted the state and Brazilian population from all the atrocity committed against all people of African origin that occurred before and after slavery . The great problem with this nonexistent racial cordiality is that it perpetuates not only prejudice, but ensures that social and economic inequalities continue to grow. In Europe of century XIX advances the theory in the book "The delinquent man" of César Lombroso that with its etiological paradigm, defends selects and segregates an "abnormal minority" for its theses. The medical examiner Nina Rodrigues, a slave representative in Brazil, who theoretically had just abolished the largest slavery system in the world. The hierarchy of races has led to an escalation of discrimination due to public policies, affirmative action and fundamental rights.
