Proibidão e ostentação : a simbólica do funk

Abstract

O presente trabalho se situa na discussão sobre o funk, especificamente, os estilos proibidão e ostentação, a partir das teorias do imaginário. Consideramos que a música comunica, ou seja, entra em contato e se relaciona popularmente com grande facilidade, como é o caso do funk no Brasil. Entendemos que tudo o que se manifesta na superfície da cultura carrega motivações simbólicas profundas. Temos por objetivo compreender quais são as motivações simbólico-arquetípicas que fazem brotar e circular o funk proibidão e ostentação, com suas diferenças e semelhanças. Mergulhamos no contexto histórico, cultural e antropológico do funk discutindo pontos que compõem sua natureza. A partir desse mergulho, construímos uma base para a leitura simbólica de letras de doze funks – seis proibidões e seis ostentação. Nessa leitura, foi possível encontrar imagens arquetipais da violência enquanto pulsão de vida, indicando que o funk é plural e controverso. Concluímos que o funk não deseja se descaracterizar, mas sim reafirmar seus valores de luta e revolta que lhes foram imputados pelo contexto de seu nascimento, fazendo isso tanto através do combate e do desafio pelas armas do proibidão quanto pelo dinheiro do ostentação.

The present work is situated in the discussion about the brazilian funk, specifically, the styles “proibidão” and “ostentação” from the perspective of the theories of the imaginary. We consider that the music communicattes, that is, it comes into contact and is related popularly with great ease as is the case of the funk in Brazil. We understand that everything that manifests itself on the surface of the culture carries deeper symbolic motivations. We aim to understand which are the symbolic-archetypal motivations that make the funk “proibidão” and “ostentação”, with their differences and similarities, sprout and circulate. For that, we immersed ourselves in the historical, cultural and anthropological context of the funk discussing points that make up its nature. From this dive we have built a basis for the symbolic reading of twelve funk lyrics – six “proibidões” and six “ostentação”. In this reading, it was possible to find archetypal images of violence as a life drive, indicating that the funk is plural and controversial. We conclude that the funk does not want to be decharacterized but rather to reaffirm its values of struggle and revolt that have been imputed to them by the context of its emergence, being through the combat and the defiance by the weapons of the “proibidão” as for the money of the “ostentação”.
