O Pacto pela Saúde e seus componentes Pela Vida, Em Defesa do SUS, e de Gestão foi implementado em 2006, pelo Governo Federal com o propósito de normatizar a definição de compromissos entre os gestores das três esferas do SUS; constituindo um conjunto de metas expressas em objetivos e resultados, derivados da análise da situação de saúde e das prioridades definidas pelos governos de forma tripartide. Frente a isso, foi proposta a realização de um estudo, de abordagem quantitativa, com o objetivo de analisar os indicadores do Pacto pela Vida, obtidos pelo município de São José do Norte / RS, nos últimos cinco anos, a fim de traçar o perfil situacional de saúde do município e propor medidas de intervenção a serem utilizadas como ferramentas no planejamento da gestão em saúde. Após a análise, foi possível concluir que o município tem apresentado resultados satisfatórios na maioria dos indicadores, como a redução da mortalidade infantil e materna; e incentivo à Atenção Básica. No entanto, ainda restam indicadores com resultado abaixo do esperado, como a atenção à saúde da mulher, e combate às doenças crônicas; o que exigirá da gestão municipal de saúde a articulação de ações e projetos para promoção dos mesmos. ...
