Conhecimento das puérperas sobre a importância dos aspectos fonoaudiológicos relacionados ao aleitamento materno

Abstract

Objetivo: verificar os conhecimentos que as puérperas têm sobre os aspectos fonoaudiológicos relacionados ao Aleitamento Materno. Métodos: realizado estudo transversal, com 65 puérperas internadas em Alojamento Conjunto pelo Sistema Único de Saúde. As informações foram quantificadas e analisadas qualitativamente e quantitativamente. Adotou-se nível de significância de 5%. Resultados: 53,8% das mães já ouviu falar no profissional fonoaudiólogo, entretanto 47,2% acreditavam que esse profissional trabalha com questões referentes ao aleitamento materno. Todos os itens questionados às mães tiveram um percentual de respostas afirmativas acima de 70%. O fato das mães terem realizado pré-natal influenciou positivamente nas respostas relacionadas ao aspecto dentário/oclusal (p=0,008), mastigatório (p=0,046) e auditivo (p=0,007); terem sido orientadas sobre benefícios do aleitamento materno no pré-natal influenciou na resposta em relação chupeta/mamadeira (p=0,049); terem realizado o pré-natal na mesma instituição do estudo influenciou nas respostas sobre aspecto dentário/oclusal (p=0,038), e auditivo (p=0,034); terem tido gestação anterior influenciou na resposta da questão sobre chupeta/mamadeira (p=0,018) e foi limítrofe para o aspecto auditivo (p=0,05); o fato das mães terem amamentado na gestação anterior influenciou positivamente a resposta da questão sobre chupeta/mamadeira (p=0,029) e sobre o desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor (p=0,009). Conclusão: a maioria das mães tem conhecimento sobre os aspectos fonoaudiólogos relacionados ao Aleitamento Materno.

Objective: to verify the knowledge that mothers has on speech-language aspects related to Breastfeeding. Methods: it was accomplished a cross study, with 65 mothers hospitalized in National Health System wings. The informations were quantified and qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed. A 5% level of significance was adopted. Results: 53,8% of the mothers have already heard about the speech and language pathologist, however 47,2% believed that this professional works with subjects regarding to breastfeeding. All of the items questioned to mothers had a percentile of affirmative answers above 70%. The fact that the mothers have accomplished prenatal care influenced positively in the answers related to dental/occlusal (p=0,008), masticatory (p=0,046) and hearing (p=0,007) aspects; and for being guided on breastfeeding benefits in prenatal care influenced in the answers regarding to pacifier/bottle feeding (p=0,049); they have accomplished the prenatal care in the same institution of the study influenced in the answers on dental/occlusal (p=0,038), and hearing (p=0,034) aspects; for having previous pregnancy influenced in the answer of subject on pacifier/bottle feeding (p=0,018) and it was bordering for the hearing aspect (p=0,05); the fact of mothers have breastfed in previous pregnancy influenced positively in the answer of questions on pacifier/bottle feeding (p=0,029) and on the neuropsychomotor development (p=0,009). Conclusion: most of the mothers have knowledge on speech-language aspects related to breastfeedind.
