Advertising communication is undergoing a cyclical revaluation of physical space in the face of digital saturation, and events emerge as total experiences capable of engaging the senses, emotions, and sociability in ways that screen-based formats cannot replicate. Against this backdrop, this study investigates how brand participation in the itinerant event Torra Sessions contributes to building brand awareness, integrating in-person experience and digital amplification. The general objective is to understand how the presence of brands in this community-oriented itinerant event impacts the construction of awareness through experiential marketing strategies. The research, qualitative in approach and guided by assumptions rather than hypotheses, is designed as a single case study with embedded units of analysis (Yin, 2001), using the brands Perky Shoes and Sanpê as its subunits. The methodological approach combined the observation of social media channels from both the event and the brands, structured along a pre-, during-, and post-event timeline, with semi-structured in-depth interviews (Duarte, 2005) conducted with the event’s founder and representatives of the two brands. The analysis, grounded in the literature of authors such as Pine and Gilmore (1999), Schmitt (1999), Aaker (1998), Perez (2016), and Lindstrom (2008), revealed that the construction of awareness rests on three fronts: the mobilization of well-positioned brand symbols, the engagement of multiple senses, and the articulation between the in-person and the digital in the post-event phase, which leads the audience from unfamiliarity to recognition and from recognition to recall. It is concluded that socially oriented itinerant events hold significant potential to generate qualified awareness, provided that symbols and sensory elements are articulated into a narrative that endures in the consumer’s memory. ...
