A emoção na grande reportagem televisiva : uma análise do discurso da cobertura da crise Yanomami no Fantástico

Abstract

Este trabalho busca analisar a presença da emoção na cobertura sobre a crise humanitária vivenciada pelos Yanomami na reportagem exibida no dia 26 de janeiro de 2023 no Fantástico, revista eletrônica da Rede Globo. A reportagem denuncia o abandono do Estado e o avanço do garimpo ilegal no território indígena. O objetivo principal da monografia é identificar, por meio da Análise de Discurso de linha francesa, de que maneira a emoção é construída ao longo da reportagem que evidencia a crise dos Yanomami. Como objetivos específicos, busca-se: a) Identificar quais qualidades estéticas são acionadas para convidar o telespectador a sentir/emocionar-se; b) Refletir sobre o papel do repórter na construção das emoções por meio do seu testemunho; c) Analisar os sentidos mobilizados sobre o povo Yanomami no funcionamento do discurso da reportagem. Como resultado foram encontradas duas Formações Discursivas: “a vulnerabilidade do povo Yanomami” e “a violência do garimpo”, organizadas em nove núcleos de sentido, onde as emoções predominantes foram tristeza e raiva.

This study seeks to analyze the presence of emotion in the coverage of the humanitarian crisis experienced by the Yanomami in the report aired on January 26, 2023, on Fantástico, the electronic news magazine of Rede Globo. The report denounces the abandonment by the State and the advance of illegal mining in Indigenous territory. The main objective of this monograph is to identify, through French Discourse Analysis, how emotion is constructed throughout the report that highlights the Yanomami crisis. As specific objectives, the study seeks to: a) identify which aesthetic qualities are activated to invite viewers to feel/be emotionally affected; b) reflect on the role of the reporter in the construction of emotions through her testimony; c) analyze the meanings mobilized about the Yanomami people in the functioning of the report’s discourse. As a result, two Discursive Formations were identified: “the vulnerability of the Yanomami people” and “the violence of mining,” organized into nine nuclei of meaning, in which the predominant emotions were sadness and anger.
