Introduction: The Health in Schools Program (Programa Saúde na Escola - PSE) was established by Decree No. 6,286/2007 as an intersectoral initiative of the Brazilian Ministries of Health and Education, aiming at the comprehensive development of public basic education students through health promotion, prevention, and care actions. In the field of oral health, the PSE seeks to encourage self-care and healthy habits, addressing shared risk factors for conditions such as dental caries, diabetes, and obesity. Objective: To describe the oral health educational actions developed within the scope of the Health in Schools Program in the scientific literature. Methods: This is an integrative literature review with searches conducted in the MEDLINE/PubMed, SciELO, Scopus, and VHL/BVS databases (2008–2025), using controlled vocabulary (DeCS/MeSH) in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. Records were managed using Rayyan software for screening. Results: A total of 149 studies were identified; after removing 15 duplicates, 134 titles and abstracts were screened, of which 113 were excluded for not meeting the study objective. Of the 21 articles retrieved for full-text reading, 14 were excluded, resulting in seven studies included in the review. Findings indicated that oral health actions within the PSE predominantly focus on healthcare and educational activities based on traditional pedagogical approaches, with supervised toothbrushing and oral hygiene instruction being the most frequent core components. Formats such as lectures, pamphlets, and health campaigns prevailed, whereas playful activities were less frequently reported. Conclusion: There is a scarcity of studies on this topic in the literature, as well as a fragmentation in the approaches to oral health actions in the PSE, which are rarely the central focus of the analyzed research. ...
