The rehabilitation of teeth with extensive loss of dentin structure often requires indirect restoration. With the advancement of additive manufacturing, new composite resins for 3D printing have been indicated for definitive restorations. This study aimed to characterize the mechanical, physical, and chemical properties of three printed resins (PriZma 3D BioCrown, Varseo Smile Crown Plus, and Voxelprint Ceramic), using a subtractive manufacturing resin (Tetric CAD) as control. Monotonic biaxial flexural strength (n=5) and fatigue strength (n=15) were evaluated using a piston-on-three-ball configuration. Solvent softening (n=5) was determined by the variation in Knoop hardness after immersion in an ethanol/water solution (70/30). Color stability (n=6) was analyzed by spectrophotometry (ΔE₀₀ – CIEDE2000) after 24 h, 7, and 30 days of aging in water at 37 °C, and surface roughness (Ra) was measured at the same time intervals. Significant differences were observed among the resins. Tetric CAD presented the highest values of monotonic strength (263 MPa) and fatigue strength (148 MPa). Among the printed resins, Voxelprint Ceramic showed the best performance in the fatigue test (90 MPa), whereas PriZma 3D BioCrown presented the lowest fatigue strength (60 MPa). Tetric CAD exhibited the highest initial hardness, while PriZma 3D BioCrown showed the greatest solvent softening (ΔKHN% = 36.01). Regarding color, after 30 days PriZma 3D BioCrown exceeded the clinical acceptability threshold, showing a tendency toward yellowing. Surface roughness remained low at baseline and after 7 days (Ra: 0.08–0.14 µm) but increased significantly after 30 days for all materials (Ra: 1.58–1.79 µm), with no differences among resins at this period. Overall, the 3D-printed resins demonstrated greater susceptibility to aging, evidenced by lower fatigue strength, lower hardness, and greater color change over time, indicating that they should be used with caution in definitive restorations subjected to higher biomechanical and esthetic demands. ...
