Os dois zênites do centauro : uma proposição estilístico-temática do movimento nativista

Abstract

O presente estudo almeja – como principal objetivo – analisar expressões artísticas do nativismo sul rio-grandense, a partir de uma exposição de letras de canções, sobretudo, por meio de uma análise massiva de músicas do movimento dos festivais. Assim, pretende-se discutir as tensões existentes sobre o processo de formação temática e de exercício das tradições ou representação dessa cultura. Desse modo, há uma reflexão sobre a identidade cultural através do processo discursivo, pela ótica de Hall (1997), a fim de inspecionar as tradições e sua ficção sobre o passado e o presente como estratégia do regional gaúcho, no intuito de narrar-se e de constituir seus referenciais identitários. Dito isso, proponho uma classificação organizada dos processos históricos dessas práticas artísticas em um panorama atualizado e mais sistêmico dos festivais nativistas.

The present study aims—above all—as its main objective, to analyze the artistic expressions of southern Rio Grande do Sul nativism through an examination of song lyrics, with particular emphasis on a comprehensive analysis of the music produced within the festival movement. Thus, the intention is to discuss the tensions inherent in the process of thematic formation and in the practice or representation of traditions within this culture. In this sense, the study proposes a reflection on cultural identity through a discursive approach, drawing on Hall (1997), in order to investigate the traditions and the fictions they construct about the past and the present as a strategy of the gaúcho regional identity to narrate itself and shape its identity references. With that in mind, I propose an organized classification of the historical processes underlying these artistic practices, presenting an updated and more systematic overview of the nativist festivals.
