Jornalismo, enquadramento e ideologia : análise discursiva de notícias de O Antagonista sobre o 8 de janeiro

Abstract

Este trabalho analisa o discurso das notícias publicadas no portal O Antagonista durante a cobertura do segundo aniversário dos ataques de 8 de janeiro de 2023, sob a perspectiva do enquadramento e da ideologia. A partir da hipótese de que o portal apresenta uma linha editorial antipetista, buscou-se investigar como a memória do evento é moldada pelo discurso jornalístico, mesmo em coberturas que se propõem à defesa da democracia. A pesquisa utiliza como metodologia a Análise do Discurso de linha francesa, conforme proposta por Michel Pêcheux e aplicada por Benetti (2010) ao campo jornalístico. O corpus é composto por 22 matérias publicadas entre os dias 1º e 8 de janeiro de 2025, coletadas diretamente do site e submetidas à análise qualitativa. Foram identificadas 198 sequências discursivas e duas formações discursivas principais: a defesa da democracia e o antipetismo. A análise revela que o portal condena os ataques ocorridos em 2023, ao mesmo tempo em que descredibiliza o governo de Lula, figura que o veículo condena e critica tanto quanto os manifestantes. O estudo mostra como os enquadramentos e as estratégias discursivas contribuem para reforçar a posição ideológica do veículo. Conclui-se que as matérias do Antagonista reforçam o papel do jornalismo como agente ativo na construção da realidade social e política, não apenas focado em contá-la ao público.

This study analyzes the discourse of news articles published on the O Antagonista website during the coverage of the second anniversary of the January 8, 2023 attacks, from the perspective of framing and ideology. Based on the hypothesis that the portal maintains an anti-PT editorial line, the study seeks to investigate how the memory of the event is shaped by journalistic discourse, even in coverage that claims to defend democracy. The research adopts the French Discourse Analysis methodology, as proposed by Michel Pêcheux and applied to the journalistic field by Benetti (2010). The corpus consists of 22 articles published between January 1 and 8, 2025, collected directly from the website and subjected to qualitative analysis. A total of 198 discursive sequences were identified, along with two main discursive formations: the defense of democracy and anti-PT sentiment. The analysis reveals that the portal condemns the 2023 attacks while simultaneously discrediting Lula’s government, a figure the outlet criticizes as harshly as the protesters themselves. The study demonstrates how framing and discursive strategies contribute to reinforcing the outlet's ideological stance. It concludes that O Antagonista's coverage reinforces the role of journalism as an active agent in the construction of social and political reality, rather than merely reporting it to the public.
