Abstract

Concha, buraco ou pote: uma poética meditativa na matéria é uma pesquisa em Poéticas Visuais, que engloba a integração de práticas artísticas, de meditação budista Vajrayana e de cuidado na maternidade com considerações sobre o corpo feminino que pesquisa. A ideia de prática é importante, sendo apresentado o conceito de artista praticante. Dentro das experimentações processuais que envolvem a arte associada à meditação, surgem formas que passam a acompanhar as reflexões da pesquisa, elas são a concha, o buraco e o pote. Cada uma dessas formas desencadeia conexões que estimulam o pensar, o sentir e o produzir. Vale esclarecer que uma parte importante da pesquisa ocorre no silêncio e na pausa, tomando as ações artísticas como possibilidade para gerar essa parada. A execução dos trabalhos envolveu cerâmica, fotografia, vídeo e performance, mas não se reduziu somente a isso; houve uma relação com a prática meditativa estabelecida em cada momento e que antecedia as produções. Além das formas, a experiência com os cinco elementos – espaço, água, terra, fogo e ar – envolvendo corpo e matéria alimentou a pesquisa. Os principais diálogos com artistas envolveram a argila e os processos espirituais ou meditativos. O referencial teórico buscou contemplar as relações entre matéria e meio ambiente, articulando em forma de teia as experiências no micro e no macro ambientes. Quanto à relação das obras com o público, há uma intenção contemplativa, com o convite para parar e ficar.

Shell, Hole or Pot: a meditative poetics in matter is a research project in Visual Poetics, encompassing the integration of artistic practices, Vajrayana Buddhist meditation, and the care involved in motherhood, along with reflections on the researching female body. The notion of practice is important, introducing the concept of the artist practitioner. Through procedural experimentation combining art and meditation, forms emerge that accompany the research’s reflections: the shell, the hole, and the pot. Each of these forms triggers connections that stimulate thinking, feeling, and making. It is worth noting that an important part of the research takes place in silence and stillness, taking artistic actions as a possibility to generate that pause. The execution of the works involved ceramics, photography, video, and performance, but was not limited to these; it also included a meditative practice that preceded and infused the artistic process at every stage. In addition to the forms, the experience with the five elements – space, water, earth, fire, and air – involving the body and matter nourished the research. The main dialogues with artists involved clay and spiritual or meditative processes. The theoretical framework sought to contemplate the relationships between matter and environment, weaving together experiences in both micro and macro contexts. As for the relationship between the artworks and the public, there is a contemplative intention, inviting the viewer to pause and remain.
