Uma mulher de Annie Ernaux : a mãe que vira mulher e a filha que vira narradora

Abstract

Este Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso elabora a leitura de Uma Mulher, de Annie Ernaux. Uma obra autobiográfica, de difícil classificação, é lida no presente trabalho considerando dois eixos fundamentais. No primeiro, atentamos para a história da mãe de Annie, narrada logo após sua morte. No segundo, trazemos para primeiro plano o processo de narração, que se inicia logo após a morte da mãe. O termo central está no distanciamento respeitoso da autora, que faz nascer da figura da mãe a história de uma mulher forte. Há o distanciamento similar da filha, que se esforça para se colocar no lugar da narradora, elaborando o luto, mas tecendo ainda com mais força os fios da narrativa. Assim, este trabalho faz uma leitura das posições tomadas por Ernaux, como filha, mulher, autora e narradora, para encontrar a mulher que foi sua mãe, a partir de uma perspectiva histórica, social e de gênero.

This Graduation Thesis elaborates the reading of A Woman's Story, by Annie Ernaux. An autobiographical work, difficult to classify, it is examined in this paper through two fundamental axes. The first focuses on the story of Annie's mother, narrated shortly after her death. The second brings the narrative process to the forefront, which begins immediately after the mother’s passing. The central term is the respectful distance of the author, who draws from the figure of the mother the story of a strong woman. There is a similar distance from the daughter, who strives to put herself in the narrator's place, working through grief while also weaving more strongly the threads of the narrative. Thus, this paper makes a reading of the positions taken by Ernaux as a daughter, woman, author, and narrator, in order to find the woman who was her mother, from a historical, social, and gender perspective.
