Resumo
Objetivo: Relatar um caso de proliferação fibrovascular no disco óptico persistente em olho único de paciente com retinopatia diabética proliferativa, tratada com injeção intravítrea de bevacizumabe. Conclusão: A injeção intravítrea de bevacizumabe foi efetiva, promovendo a regressão da proliferação fibrovascular, minimizando o risco de hemorragia vítrea e evitando a necessidade de abordagens mais invasivas.
Abstract
Objective: To report a case of persistent fibrovascular proliferation at the optic disc in the only eye of a patient with proliferative diabetic retinopathy, treated with intravitreal bevacizumab injection. Conclusion: The intravitreal bevacizumab injection was effective, promoting regression of the fibrovascular proliferation, minimizing the risk of vitreous hemorrhage, and avoiding the need for more invasive approaches.
