Um olhar sobre a comicidade no espetáculo A coisa

Abstract

O que torna um espetáculo teatral realmente engraçado? Qual a jornada do ator para extrair risadas sinceras do público? O presente trabalho busca refletir sobre a comicidade contida no espetáculo teatral A COISA. Tomando como base principal os estudos do filósofo francês Henri Bergson (1859-1941) e da historiadora e antropóloga brasileira Verena Alberti (1960-) sobre o riso, buscamos estabelecer relações entre alguns de seus pressupostos e aspectos que tornaram as cenas risíveis, seja através da imaginação do ator no processo de criação do espetáculo, seja por sua capacidade de improvisação nas apresentações presenciais. A partir da descrição de algumas cenas apresentadas, buscaremos refletir sobre os motivos que levaram a plateia ao riso ou à indiferença diante dos atores no espetáculo teatral A COISA.

What makes a theater show really funny? What is the actor's journey to extract sincere laughter from the audience? The present work seeks to reflect on the humor contained in the theatrical play A COISA. Taking as a main basis the studies of the French philosopher Henri Bergson (1859-1941) and the Brazilian historian and anthropologist Verena Alberti (1960-) on laughter, we seek to establish relationships between some of their assumptions and aspects that made the scenes laughable, either through the actor's imagination in the process of creating the show, or for its ability to improvise in face-to-face presentations. From the description of some scenes presented, we will seek to reflect on the reasons that led the audience to laugh or to indifference before the actors in the theatrical play A COISA.
