O aprendizado de Ciências através da pesquisa no ensino fundamental

Abstract

O objetivo do presente trabalho foi analisar a aprendizagem dos alunos do oitavo ano, a partir da metodologia do “ensinar pela pesquisa”, na disciplina de Ciências, na Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental Álvaro Moreyra, situada na cidade de Canoas/RS. Os alunos tiveram seu aprendizado baseado em conceitos e métodos de pesquisa nos quais durante todo processo de ensino e aprendizagem do corpo humano foram estimulados a buscar seus conhecimentos por meio da pesquisa. As aulas foram planejadas seguindo os processos e a metodologia da pesquisa-ação, onde através de um assunto pré-determinado pelo professor, como por exemplo, o sistema digestório humano, os estudantes fizeram seus questionamentos em formato de perguntas. Com a mediação da professora foi necessário buscar respostas em fontes científicas. Para se chegar aos resultados, cada aluno pesquisou sobre duas ou mais perguntas que ele ou o colega formularam. Os alunos foram responsáveis pelo próprio aprendizado e as respostas foram divididas com a classe, em uma roda de conversa virtual, mediada pela professora, onde o objetivo maior foi o diálogo e a troca de conhecimentos, esperando-se que essa troca, trouxesse outros questionamentos mais profundos oriundos destas reflexões. Através desse método foi possível verificar que o ensinar pela pesquisa é uma ferramenta adequada para o estudante adquirir conhecimento. Durante todo o percurso, os estudantes foram avaliados de forma qualitativa. Para encerrar este trabalho foi realizada a aplicação de um questionário que visou verificar se, de fato, os estudantes aprovaram esta metodologia de aprendizagem através da pesquisa e se conseguiram construir conhecimento por meio dela.

The objective of this study was to analyze the learning of eighth grade students, using the methodology of “teaching through research”, in the subject of Science, at the Álvaro Moreyra State Elementary School, located in the city of Canoas/RS. The students had their learning based on research concepts and methods in which, during the entire teaching and learning process of the human body, they were encouraged to seek their knowledge through research. The classes were planned following the processes and methodology of action research, where through a subject predetermined by the teacher, such as the human digestive system, students asked questions in the form of questions. With the mediation of the teacher, it was necessary to seek answers from scientific sources. To arrive at the results, each student researched two or more questions that he or the classmate asked. The students were responsible for their own learning and the answers were shared with the class, in a virtual conversation circle, mediated by the teacher, where the main objective was dialogue and the exchange of knowledge, hoping that this exchange would bring other questions deeper insights arising from these reflections. Through this method, it was possible to verify that teaching through research is an adequate tool for the student to acquire knowledge. Throughout the course, students were evaluated qualitatively. To conclude this work, a questionnaire was applied to verify if, in fact, the students approved this action-research methodology and if they were able to build knowledge through it.
