As práticas integrativas e complementares em saúde : uma análise de produção discursiva na mídia

Abstract

As Práticas Integrativas e Complementares em Saúde estão presentes no contexto brasileiro, ainda que nem sempre sejam oferecidas ou utilizadas, de forma consonante, por profissionais de saúde, usuários, sociedade, mídia, etc. A compreensão da importância de garantir a integralidade do cuidado em saúde, a partir de questões de natureza política, técnica, econômica, social e cultural, entre outros, é uma das discussões permeadas pela Política Nacional de Práticas Integrativas e Complementares. Os Estudos Culturais empreendem discussões a respeito dos regimes de verdade circulantes e dos jogos postos na construção de práticas, o que nos ajuda a pensar de que forma essas questões se dão na constituição das Práticas Integrativas e Complementares. Nesse sentido, o objetivo desta Dissertação foi de conhecer e analisar os discursos sobre as Práticas Integrativas e Complementares, veiculadas em notícias publicadas em um tipo de mídia específico: as revistas. Utilizei reportagens de duas revistas de circulação nacional: IstoÉ e Veja, no período de janeiro de 2006 a dezembro de 2016, buscando refletir sobre aspectos da cultura a partir da análise de mídia, bem como da ordem discursiva vigente a respeito das Práticas Integrativas e os contextos de onde emergem. O processo metodológico abarcou a seleção das notícias, descrição e compreensão das estratégias discursivas utilizadas, por meio de comparações, presenças, repetições, ausências, características textuais e não textuais. Como resultados, destaco a construção de seis unidades de análise, a partir da identificação de certas regularidades discursivas. As unidades compreendem as seguintes temáticas: "A biociência como atestado de "fide-dignidade", "Os interesses econômicos como porta de entrada", "Quem pode falar sobre", "As 'celebridades' e as PICs", "No limite da dor" e "Atenção às Práticas que fazem morrer". Creio que a importância desse estudo esteja na reflexão sobre como essas verdades são apresentadas, como elas nos constituem enquanto (re)produtores de outras tantas verdades, como elas se tornam significativas em nosso dia-a-dia e passamos a reconhecer nelas a melhor forma de vivermos com: segurança, qualidade de vida, consciência dos nossos atos e felicidade. As análises empreendidas possibilitaram-me encontrar uma multiplicidade de formações discursivas, que utilizam diferentes estratégias para nos convencerem e nos subjetivarem a respeito das Práticas Integrativas e Complementares.

The Integrative and Complementary Practices in Health are present in the brazilian context, although they are not always offered or used in a consonant way by health professionals, users, society, media, etc. Understanding the importance of guaranteeing the integrality of health care, based on issues of a political, technical, economic, social and cultural nature, among others, is one of the discussions permeated by the National Policy on Integrative and Complementary Practices. The Cultural Studies undertake discussions about the current truth regimes and the games put in the construction of practices, which helps us to think about how these questions are given in the constitution of Integrative and Complementary Practices. In this sense, the objective of this Dissertation was to know and analyze the discourses on Integrative and Complementary Practices, published in news published in a specific type of media: magazines. I used reports from two national magazines: IstoÉ and Veja, from January 2006 to December 2016, seeking to reflect on aspects of culture based on the media analysis, as well as the current discursive order regarding Integrative Practices and Contexts from where they emerge. The methodological process included the selection of the news, description and understanding of the discursive strategies used, through comparisons, presences, repetitions, absences, textual and non-textual characteristics. As results, I highlight the construction of six units of analysis, from the identification of certain discursive regularities. The units comprise the following themes: "Bioscience as a certificate of fidedignity", "Economic interests as a gateway", "Who can talk about", "Celebrities and PICs", "The pain limit" and "Attention to the practices that make dying". I believe that the importance of this study lies in the reflection on how these truths are presented, how they constitute us as (re)producers of other truths, how they become significant in our daily life and we begin to recognize in them Best way to live with: security, quality of life, awareness of our actions and happiness. The analysis made possible to find a multiplicity of discursive formations, which use different strategies to convince us and subjectivate us about Integrative and Complementary Practices.
