| pt_BR |
dc.description.abstract | In the scope of climate control, the calculation of the thermal load plays a fundamental role in achieving satisfactory results in the dimensioning of systems and, thus, obtaining a climatecontrolled environment. The objective of this work is to analyze the RTS (Radiation Time Series) and CLTD/SCL/CLF (Temperature Differences) methods developed by ASHRAE, with a performance of presenting their advantages and disadvantages, as well as showing whether they are efficient and consistent between themselves. Therefore, the two main ways of approaching the problem are used, primarily the contrast between the two methods is presented from a component-by-component comparative analysis, after that, a comparison is made covering all load components added together, forming a total thermal load. The results presented, showed that the methods present results with similar load models, however CLTD/SCL/CLF in all studied cases overestimated the value of the thermal load when compared with the results of the RTS method. For isolated components, this difference was in values around 10% and 50% and for the cases of the study of the total cooling load, as relative differences resulted in values close to 30% in cases for heavy constructions, reaching more than 100% in cases of light construction. | en |
