Uma adolescente vê o trabalho docente

Abstract

Enquadrando-se na linha que mais recentemente vem constituindo a vertente de investigação sobre "trabalho docente", o trabalho tem como objeto a representação da figura do professor na obra Minha Vida de Menina, de Helena Morley, diário de uma adolescente mineira, normalista no final do séc. XIX. A análise focaliza aspectos como a ambivalência profissionalismo x proletarização, feminização do magistério e saberes docentes, acrescentando outros que a leitura do próprio diário sugere.

Within the recent line of research on teaching work, this paper looks at the figure of the teacher through Minha Vida de Menina (My Life as a Young GirE), by Helena Morley, the diary of a teenage girl, in the state of Minas Gerais, at the end of the Nineteenth Century. The analysis deals with aspects such as the ambivalence between professionalism X proletarianization, feminization of the teaching profession and the knowledge of teachers, besides others aspects suggested by reading the diary itself.
