Biodiversidade, territorialidade e autonomia

Abstract

Este trabalho tem por objetivo compreender os impactos do vigente sistema alimentar sobre a biodiversidade, os hábitos alimentares e a vida das comunidades tradicionais e de agricultores familiares rurais no município de Mostardas, situado no estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Para viabilizar a discussão utilizou-se falas apreendidas em um momento de interação e socialização com a comunidade local, buscando por meio da literatura acadêmica compreender os elementos manifestados nos discursos. A partir das análises e das discussões tecidas, observa-se transformações no contexto rural, sobretudo no que tange a alimentação, fruto, em grande medida, da lógica industrial que rege, atualmente, o modelo de produção global de alimentos; apontando assim para a emergência de sistemas alimentares promotores de saúde, sustentabilidade e equidade social.

This work aims to understand the impacts of the current food system on biodiversity, eating habits and the lives of traditional communities and rural family farmers in the municipality of Mostardas, located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. if speeches apprehended in a moment of interaction and socialization with the local community, seeking through the academic literature to understand the elements manifested in the speeches. Based on the analyzes and discussions that have been made, there are transformations in the rural context, especially with regard to food, the fruit, to a large extent, of the industrial logic that currently governs the global food production model; thus pointing to the emergence of food systems that promote health, sustainability and social equity.
