Análise econômica do aproveitamento de água pluvial em uma escola técnica de rede federal

Abstract

O uso racional da água potável tem sido motivo de preocupação na sociedade atual. Tem-se adotado diversas políticas com o propósito de conscientizar a população e criou-se dispositivos legais sobre o assunto, no sentido reduzir o desperdício e implementar a utilização de fontes alternativas para fins menos nobres que a ingestão. Neste sentido, o objetivo deste trabalho é mostrar o projeto de otimização e de automação do aproveitamento de água pluvial e o efeito do monitoramento do consumo de água potável implantado em uma escola técnica da rede federal. Como resultado, verifica-se que o aproveitamento de água pluvial corresponde a um terço do consumo total de água no período investigado após a implementação do projeto. Aliado a isso, também se percebeu uma sensível redução no consumo de água potável, independente do aproveitamento da água pluvial. Do ponto de vista econômico, verificou-se uma considerável redução da fatura de consumo de água potável paga pela instituição após a implantação do projeto.

The rational use of drinking water has been a cause of concern in today's society. A number of policies have been adopted with the purpose of raising awareness of the population and legal provisions have been created to reduce waste and implement alternative sources for purposes less noble than intake. In this sense, the objective of this work is to show the optimization and automation project of the use of rainwater and the effect of the monitoring of the consumption of drinking water implanted in a technical school of the federal network. As a result, it is verified that the utilization of rainwater corresponds to one third of the total water consumption in the period investigated after the implementation of the project. Allied to this, also a noticeable reduction in the consumption of drinking water, independent of the utilization of the rain water. From the economic point of view, there was a considerable reduction of the drinking water bill paid by the institution after the project was implemented.
