The Pampa Biome has been suffering great degradation for a very long time due to anthropic actions, and its conservation is constantly threatened. Thus the general goal of this paper is to analyze the influence of the area occupied by dams and WEIRS over the Pampa biome between the years of 1985 and 2015, and its negative impacts concerning the conversion of its native vegetation in agricultural use. For that, land use and land cover data were used, as well as cartographic bases. With the support of a theoretical research, nine variables were determined in orded to integrate them through the assignment of values (1 to 3) according to risk or rate of impact caused by dams and weirs. As a result, three theme maps were generated and regionalized according to the rate of impact inflicted upon the vegetation coverage, the landscape and the physical environment of the biome along the analyzed periods (1985-2000, 2000-2015 e 1985-2015). The validation was made through the approximate visual interpretation of each region and the data tables, which allowed to distinguish the most uncharacterized areas concerning the native vegetation along the 30 years. During the period of 1985-2000, the most negatively impacted areas were found in the coastal region, in the COREDE South Center and close to the border with Argentina, an area larger than 40 thousand km². The 2000-2015 time range was the one that presented the smallest area with a high negative impact rate regarding the conversion of the native vegetation in the biome. The extent is approximately 37 thousand km², and the most represented sub-region is located in the north center of the biome. The period of 1985 to 2015 presented the highest average of distributed values regarding the negative impact rate (2,05), and the greatest representativeness within the biome area (29%), which demonstrates a big change in the use and occupation of the land after the emergence of new dams and weirs, that not only increased in area but also in number. These areas are distributed along the border with Argentina in the Uruguay River Basin, much of which is representative of the Peripheral Depression of Rio grande do Sul. Also the coastal, the COREDEs Centro, the Alto Jacuí and Noroeste Colonial, part of the Centro-Sul areas, and a significative part of the Campanha.en
