“Viver como um zumbi” : o dano existencial à luz da polissemia do trabalho

Abstract

A tese aborda o dano existencial nas relações laborais à luz da polissemia do trabalho, a partir de uma perspectiva transdisciplinar. Para tanto, utiliza como base teórica os conceitos de danos existencial, oriundo das ciências jurídicas, e de polissemia do trabalho, gerado a partir dos estudos em administração com base em outras ciências como a sociologia, a psicologia, a ciência política e a medicina. O problema de pesquisa, respondido através do campo, foi definido como: “De que forma o dano existencial no ambiente laboral impacta a vida das vítimas e sua relação com o trabalho na e a partir da instituição pesquisada?". O objetivo geral da tese foi: compreender de que forma o dano existencial no ambiente laboral impacta a vida das vítimas e sua relação com o trabalho na e a partir da instituição pesquisada. Quanto aos objetivos específicos, encontram-se: i) identificar e descrever o instituto do dano existencial no trabalho à luz da literatura já existente; ii) apresentar a polissemia do trabalho como uma nova forma de compreensão do trabalho e sua indissociabilidade com a vida como um todo; iii) contribuir conceitualmente, a partir da polissemia do trabalho, na compreensão do dano existencial com base na percepção dos trabalhadores pesquisados. A abordagem de pesquisa caracteriza-se como reflexiva-crítica e teórico-empírica, sendo classificada como exploratória, quali-quantitativa e descritiva. Foram obtidas as respostas de 302 indivíduos através de questionário, com questões abertas e fechadas, aplicado durante a realização do projeto de pesquisa desenvolvido em uma instituição pública estadual. A tese está organizada em três artigos fundadores. O artigo I aprofunda o conceito de dano existencial; o artigo II aborda a polissemia do trabalho; e no artigo III são apresentados os resultados da pesquisa de campo em que se pode ampliar as discussões acerca do dano existencial com base nas perspectivas da polissemia do trabalho. Como principais resultados, estão as evidências das possibilidades analíticas do dano existencial nas relações de trabalho a partir de uma perspectiva transdisciplinar e a caracterização do dano existencial associado às diversas dimensões da polissemia do trabalho.

The thesis addresses the existential damage in labor relations in the light of labor polysemy, from a transdisciplinary perspective. To this end, it uses as a theoretical basis the concepts of existential damage, originating from the legal sciences, and polysemy of work, generated from studies in administration based on other sciences such as sociology, psychology, political science and medicine. The research problem, answered across the field, was defined as: “How does existential damage in the workplace impact the lives of victims and their relationship with work in and from the researched institution?". The general objective of the thesis Understand how the existential damage in the workplace impacts the lives of victims and their relationship with work in and from the researched institution. As to the specific objectives are: i) identify and describe the institute of existential damage at work in the light of existing literature ii) to present work polysemy as a new way of understanding work and its inseparability with life as a whole iii) to contribute conceptually, from work polysemy, in understanding the damage based on the perception of the researched workers.The research approach is characterized as reflexive-critical and theoretical-empirical, being classified as exploratory. Ria, quali-quantitative and descriptive. The answers of 302 individuals were obtained through a questionnaire with open and closed questions, applied during the realization of the research project developed in a state public institution. The thesis is organized into three founding articles. Article I deepens the concept of existential damage; Article II deals with labor polysemy; and in article III the results of the field research are presented, in which the discussions about existential damage can be broadened based on the perspectives of labor polysemy. The main results are the evidences of the analytical possibilities of existential damage in labor relations from a transdisciplinary perspective and the characterization of existential damage associated with the various dimensions of labor polysemy.
