Concepções sobre diferentes arranjos familiares

Abstract

Este trabalho teve como objetivo explorar e descrever as diferentes concepções de família compartilhadas entre sujeitos de diferentes contextos. Para responder aos objetivos, foi desenvolvido em dois estudos. O primeiro estudo teve por objetivo explorar e descrever as diferentes concepções sobre família, compartilhada entre sujeitos leigos e profissionais de terapia familiar, em termos de sua configuração e estrutura, buscando identificar as variáveis prevalentes nas diferentes concepções. Um grupo de terapeutas de família e um grupo leigo compuseram dois grupos focais de discussão da temática. O segundo estudo trata-se de um recorte do primeiro, pois apresenta os desafios que os terapeutas revelaram encontrar no trabalho terapêutico das famílias que buscam tratamento. Assim, o segundo estudo objetivou descrever a percepção de terapeutas de família sobre os principais desafios revelados pelas famílias que atendem em contexto clínico, em termos de configuração e estrutura. Diante disso, ambos os estudos auxiliam na compreensão das diferentes perspectivas que a família tem sido concebida atualmente.

This work aimed to explore and describe the different conceptions of family shared between subjects from different contexts. To meet the objectives, it was divided in two studies. The first study aimed to explore and describe the different conceptions of family, shared between lay individuals and family therapy professionals, in terms of their structure and family processes and dynamics, seeking to identify the prevalent variables in the different conceptions. A group of family therapists and a lay group composed two focal groups to discuss the theme. On the other hand, the second study was cut out from the first, because it introduce the challenges that therapists have found in the therapeutic work of families who seek treatment. Thus, the second study aimed to describe the perception of family therapists about the main challenges revealed by the families they care for in a clinical context, in terms of family structure and family processes and dynamics. Given this, both studies help in understanding the different perspectives that family has been conceived today.
