Educação dos corpos e esportivização da vida : racionalidades e tecnologias da governamentalidade neoliberal presentes no site Eu Atleta

Abstract

O artigo é decorrente de uma pesquisa que, a partir das contribuições dos estudos foucaultianos sobre governamentalidade, problematiza o processo de invenção do atleta amador de corrida. Toma-se como materialidade investigativa o site Eu Atleta, enquanto artefato difusor de uma pedagogia cultural, pautada em uma racionalidade neoliberal implicada no governamentodos indivíduos. Metodologicamente, a discussão centra-se na análise da racionalidade que fundamenta a existência do site e das tecnologias operadas por ele. Por meio da análise, é possível destacar a incidência marcante de três aspectos: 1) o estabelecimento de uma relação intrínseca entre as tecnologias em funcionamento no site e o governamento dos corpos; 2) a promoção de incentivos para que os usuários do site se tornem ativos em seu próprio gerenciamento; 3) a difusão de discursos de experts da área da saúde para recomendar orientações sobre vida saudável e ratificar a sobreposição entre saúde e prática de exercícios físicos.

The article is the result of a research that, based on the contributions of the Foucauldian studies on governmentality, discusses the process of invention of the amateur racer. The Me Athlete website is taken as an investigative materiality while a diffusing artifact of a cultural pedagogy, based on a neoliberal rationality implied in the governance of individuals. Methodologically, the discussion focuses on the analysis of the rationality that underlies the existence of the website and the technologies operated by it. Through the analysis, it is possible to highlight the striking incidence of three aspects: 1) the establishment of an intrinsic relationship between the technologies in operation in the website and the governance of bodies; 2) the promotion of incentives for users to become active in their own management; 3) the dissemination of discourses by health experts recommending guidelines on healthy living and ratifying the overlap between health and physical exercise.
