This article has its theme the Process Celerity within the scope of the new Code of Civil Procedure and was developed through a bibliographic review in sites related to the subject, theses and dissertations. The main objective was to analyze some controversial points regarding the speed of process brought in the new civil process code, mainly in relation to its effectiveness in accelerating the progress of the proceedings, guaranteeing the parties a reasonable duration of the action and analyzing if the proposed changes in the new CPC are sufficient to resolve all the impasses that guide the judiciary. Speed is the principle to which the process must follow, and can not be at the mercy of parties who may require evidence or do unnecessary or unnecessary acts. For this reason, it will be for the judge to reject the useless or merely transient proceedings. This choice of theme is justified as a collaboration to the professionals and students of the law for a better understanding and identification that these changes can provoke in the legal environment.en
