Narrativas distópicas : um estudo comparativo entre 1984 e a série Black Mirror

Abstract

O objetivo desse trabalho foi abordar semelhanças entre 1984 de George Orwell e três episódios da série Black MIrror de Charlie Brooker. Foi realizado um estudo de comparação sobre mecanismos de controle, vigilância, o papel da figura política e outras caraterísticas que compõem o gênero narrativo distópico. Para sustentar a argumentação, trago algumas ideias discutidas por autores como Ernesto Laclau, Guy Debord, Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze, Leomir Hilário e Sigmund Freud.

The aim of this work was to address similiraties between George Orwell's 1984 and three episodes of the TV series Black Mirror by Charlie Brooker. A comparative study was conducted in order to stress out how the control function, the surveillance, the role of the political figure and other characteristics that make the dystopic narrative genre are dealt in each work. In order to support the argument I bring some ideas from authors like Ernesto Laclau, Guy Debord, Michel Foucault, Gilles Deleuze, Leomir Hilário and Sigmund Freud.
