O artigo apresenta e discute o caso de uma paciente de 38 anos, negra, internada no Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, apresentando febre, emagrecimento, petéquias, esplenomegalia e sopro sistólico. Abstract
This article presents and discusses the case of a 38 year-old black female patient admitted to Hospital das Clínicas de Porto Alegre with fever, weight loss, petechiae, splenomegaly and systolic murmur. The patient received IV cefepime. The results of bone marrow tests were consistent with the diagnosis of pre-B acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL).
