“Amo meu filho, mas odeio ser mãe” : Reflexões sobre a ambivalência na maternidade contemporânea

Abstract

“Ser mãe” acarreta para a mulher uma série de comportamentos esperados socialmente, sendo estes papéis intimamente ligados ao que é “ser mulher”. Cobranças de atitudes e sentimentos se mostram claros e, aquela mãe que parece não se encaixar neste perfil acaba sendo jugada. Ao fim de 2015, esta temática foi muito debatida em meios online a partir do “desafio da maternidade”, onde mulheres que demostraram sua insatisfação com a maternidade foram duramente criticadas. A partir desta premissa, a presente pesquisa visa discutir o papel materno em uma compreensão contemporânea, bem como a construção do mesmo. Além disto, propõem-se a refletir sobre a ambivalência vivenciada pela mulher no momento de maternidade e as frustrações que esta pode gerar, uma vez que muitas mulheres não sentem-se a vontade em expressar suas angustias. Para isto, foram selecionados seis relatos anônimos coletados em grupos de discussão online sobre maternidade, onde mães referem não sentirem-se satisfeitas plenamente com a maternidade. A partir destas narrativas, foi possível observar semelhanças nos diálogos e assim pensar a maternidade dentro de preceitos psicanalíticos, buscando compreender este fenômeno, chegando a possíveis conclusões a cerca do tema.

"Being a mother" brings to the woman a series of behaviors socially expected, these roles being intimately connected to what it is to be a woman. Charges of attitudes and feelings are clear and, that mother who does not seem to fit this profile ends up being played. By the end of 2015, this theme was much debated on online media from the "challenge of motherhood", where women who demonstrated their dissatisfaction with motherhood were strongly criticized. From this premise, the present research aims to discuss the maternal role in a contemporary understanding, as well as the construction of the same. In addition, propose to reflect on the ambivalence experienced by women at the moment of maternity and the frustrations that this can generate, since many women do not feel the will to express their anguish. For this, six anonymous reports were selected from online discussion groups on maternity, where mothers report not feeling fully satisfied with motherhood. From these narratives, it was possible to observe similarities in the dialogues and thus to think about motherhood within psychoanalytical precepts, seeking to understand this phenomenon, reaching possible conclusions about the theme.
