This work presents an experimental study in a AP engine 1.6, being fed with hydrous ethanol fuel and comparative analysic of the changes in performance with the addition of oxygen enriched hydrogen gás in the mixture, as auxiliary fuel, without changes in the Engine configuration. It is important to study the interactions between the several alternatives to fossil fuels present in the mobility Market, and one of the attractive factors is that for the use of HHO gas it is not necessary to make changes in the configuration in the engine. The results obtained are in agreement with the investigated literature, showing a subtle improvement in the overall performance of the engine and consequent decrease of pollutants emissions. There was an average increase of 2% in net effective power and a reduction of 2.5% in specific fuel consumption. The emission of pollutants was reduced by 15% in terms of carbon monoxide and 11.5% in terms of hydrocarbons. ...
