O presente trabalho se propõe a analisar de que forma se construíram as relações de trabalho na Creche da UFRGS, considerando o histórico da instituição no que se refere à prestação de serviços terceirizados. Partindo da compreensão de que o processo de terceirização dos contratos na UFRGS esteve inserido em um contexto de reestruturação do serviço público em geral, um aspecto que se destaca nessa análise é a precarização do trabalho, consequente da flexibilização dos contratos. Este trabalho se vale de um conjunto de modos de investigação, que passa pelo estudo da legislação referente ao histórico da terceirização no Brasil, no setor público e na UFRGS; e análise de entrevistas com trabalhadoras da Creche da UFRGS, a partir de roteiro semiestruturado, que permitiram identificar e compreender as relações que se estabelecem entre as funcionárias terceirizadas, as servidoras, a instituição e o trabalho. Foi evidenciado que a terceirização apresenta como consequência imediata a precarização do trabalho na instituição, que se revela principalmente através da hierarquização das trabalhadoras e da negligência na garantia dos direitos trabalhistas, por parte da empresa contratante e referendada pela Universidade. ...
