O telejornalismo apresenta, concomitante à função de informar, uma crescente intenção de entretenimento como estratégia para atrair a audiência. Este fenômeno é classificado como infotenimento e um dos elementos utilizados é a conversação. Este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar como o programa de telejornalismo Estúdio i, transmitido pela GloboNews, articula a informação jornalística e a conversação na sua estrutura discursiva, quais são as limitações que o gênero jornalístico concede à conversação, indicados pelas marcas de informalidade, e quais são os dispositivos de controle adotados para a preservação do gênero. Foram analisados cinco programas exibidos entre 23 de março e 24 de abril de 2015. Foram estabelecidos procedimentos metodológicos inspirados na análise da conversação na televisão de José Luiz Braga (1994), que permitiram identificar os elementos que organizam o programa; marcas de informalidade, identificadas como personalização, transparência, humor e emoção; e dispositivos de controle, que são roteirização, moderação, apresentação de temas, definição dos momentos de troca, passagens do direito de falar e o caos auto-organizado.
