Permanências e passagens : algumas abordagens no espaço tridimensional

Abstract

Este trabalho consiste em uma reflexão teórico-prática sobre a atividade escultórica de Cláudio Ilson Ramos Maciel, desenvolvida no período de 1997 a 2000, como dissertação conclusiva do Mestrado em Artes Visuais da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. Este estudo focaliza a análise do processo de formação de esculturas, que tem por princípio a montagem. Parte da seguinte questão: Como abordar, no espaço tridimensional, através da relação matéria-forma, as funções de conter e transvasar, permanecer e passar? Aborda a possibilidade de se relacionar um ajuste entre matéria e forma, no espaço tridimensional, às noções de permanecer e passar que vemos refletidas nos espaços constituídos por certos objetos que visualizamos e que identificamos em nosso cotidiano.

This work is a theoretical-practical reflection about the production by Claudio Ilson Ramos Maciel in sculpture within 1997 and 2000, as Master Degree thesis on Art at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. This study focuses the analysis of the process of creation of sculpture, having as a principle the act of mounting. The question is: How to approach, in the threee-dimensional space, through the relation between matter and form, the functions of containing and flowing, staying and passing? It discusses the possibility of relating an adjustment between matter and form, in the three-dimensional space, to the idea of staying and passing that are reflected in the spaces which some objects consist and are identified in the daily life of an individual.
