In this study I aim to research the influence of the idea of kairós in Isocrates’ philosophía. I argue that, considering the notion of kairós both as an opportunity and particularity of a circumstance, Isocrates proposes a philosophía that values the opinions (dóxai) instead of a secure knowledge (epistḗmē), unreachable to human nature.
