O conhecimento contabil dos formandos dos cursos de ciencias contabeis na grande Porto Alegre e suas relacoes com as caracteristicas dos docentes e discentes e abordagens de ensino

Abstract

Este estudo objetivou identificar o nível de conhecimento contábil dos alunos formandos das 6 faculdades de Ciências Contábeis da Grande Porto Alegre e suas relações com as característica dos docentes e discentes e com as abordagens de ensino adotadas em sala de aula. Os principais resultados encontrados indicam que: -os formandos da PUCRS obtiveram a média mais alta na prova de conhecimento contábil; -a diferença entre as médias dos alunos formandos das 6 instituições foi significativa, indicando gue existe relação entre nível de conhecimento contábil e ine.tituição; -a média do nível de conhecimento contábil dos alunos formandos do sexo masculino é significativamente mais alta do que a do e.exo feminino; -os alunos formandos da faixa de idade de 20 a 24 anos apresentaram média levemente superior as demais, mas a diferença não é estatisticamente significativa, não havendo, portanto, relação entre idade e nível de conhecimento contábil; -a maioria dos formandos trabalham e verificou-se gue o setor de atuação não influenciou o nível de contábil; -a abordagem tradicional foi percebida pelos alunos formnados formandos como a mais adotada no processo ensino-aprendizagem, entretanto não há relação entre abordagem de ensino e nivel de conhecimento contábil; -o corpo docente da UFRGS é o de melhor formação, com maior tempo de atividade docente, o mais numeroso, com maior número de créditos semanais contratados, com maior número de mestres e o único gue possui doutores, mas apesar destas características, não possui os alunos formandos com mais alto nível de conhecimento contábil. Não foi constatada relação entre características dos docentes e nível de conhecimento contábil.

This study objected to identify the accounting knowledge level of the graduating students from the six accounting sciences colleges in Porto Alegre state. It also wanted to identify their relations with the caracteristics both the teaching body and the student body and with the the teaching approach adopted in the classroom. The main results which could be found indicate that: -the graduating students from PUCRS reached the highest mark on the acçounting knowledge test; -the difference between the student's marks from the six institutions was meaningful, indicating that there is a relation between the accounting knowledge level and the institution; -the male students' marks are higher than the female students in a meaningful way; -the graduating students aged between 20 and 24 years old presented hight superior marks to the other students' marks. But this difference is not statistically significant and so there isn't any relation between age and accounting knowledge level; -the majority of the graduating students work, and then it was verified that the performance sector did not influence the accounting knowledge level; -the teaching body from the UFRGS is the one with the best formation. with a highest teaching body activity time, the most numerous one, with the highest number of weekly hired credite, with the, highest member of professors and the only one that, has got doctors, but despite of those characteristics. it hasn't got the graduating students with the highest accounting knowledge level. It wasn't verified relation between teaching body characteristics and accounting knowledge level.
