Etnografia de la duración en las ciudades en sus consolidaciones temporales

Abstract

Proponemos la etnografía de la Duración en los estudios de identidad narrativa de habitantes en contextos urbanos interpretando la ciudad como objeto temporal. La memoria narrada es conocimiento de sí mismo y del mundo, a partir del trabajo de recordar narrado por los sujetos. El artículo se basa en el resultado de investigaciones desarrolladas en el ámbito de nuestro proyecto titulado Banco de Imágenes y Efectos Visuales (PPGAS, IFCH, UFRGS), que comenzó en 1987. Teniendo siempre como motivación la investigación con la memoria transgeneracional y la producción de constelaciones de imágenes, la etnografía de la Duración busca hacer vibrar el tiempo pensado y vivido. Se trata de la producción de etnografías de los diferentes ritmos temporales que configuran una comunidad urbana como tal y la descripción de los arreglos de la vida colectiva que se propaga en el interior de sus territorios.

By interpreting cities as temporal objects, we propose to proceed with ethnography of the duration in the studies of narrative identity of those dwelling urban contexts. Narrated memory is the knowledge of oneself and the world from the task of recording narratives by individuals. This paper draws on the result of researches carried out as part of our project, titled Image and Visual Effects Bank (PPGAS, IFCH, UFRGS) initiating in 1987. Always having its motivation the research of transgeneration memory and the making of image-constellations, ethnography of duration seeks the work that vibrates times as thought and experienced. It regards the production of ethnographies of the several temporal rhythms forming an urban community as such and the description of the arranging of collective life as spread within its territories.
