Revisitando as ideias de Rui Barbosa e a anistia : novas percepções

Abstract

O presente trabalho tem por objetivo aprofundar o conhecimento das ideias do advogado e político baiano Rui Barbosa sobre a anistia. Para isso, investigaremos nas fontes sua participação específica nas anistias de 1892 e 1895, procurando identificar seus argumentos utilizados para defendê-las e justifica-las, ou para criticar sua forma e alcance. Com isso, pretendemos formular alternativas para o problema central da pesquisa, qual seja, os posicionamentos de Rui Barbosa nas anistias referidas sustentam a hipótese da existência de uma tradição de anistias no Brasil, fundamentada em suas teorizações?

The present work aims deepen knowledge of the ideas on amnesty of the attorney and politician baiano Rui Barbosa. For this, we are going to investigate in the sources his specific participation in the amnesties of 1892 and 1895, searching for identifying his arguments used for defending it and justifying it, or to criticizeing its shape and reach. In this way we intend to formulate alternatives to our central research problem, which is, the placements of Rui Barbosa in the referred amnesties maintain the hypotheses of the existence of a tradition of amnesties in Brazil, grounded in his theories?
