Abstract in Portuguese (Brasil)
Abstract
In this work a modification of the traditional PARK model is developed. This model is originally used to predict wind wakes of horizontal axis wind turbines. This modification s based on results obtained by numerical simulations. It s given through the creation of a new decay constant, named ks, applied to Savonius vertical axis wind turbines. This constant, with a value of 2.017, obtained from the semi-empirical model, is used for the prediction of downstream velocities of non-static rotors. T ...
The application of ks is made in two rotors placed in a row, parallel to the direction of incident wind. Whem comparing powers of the second rotor, calculated by the velocity predicted by the model and it’s simulation, a low percentage error is found. This percentage is within 2%, making this modela good alternative for the analysis of sets of configurations of wind turbines for microgeneration. ...
