Abstract
This paper was based on a study on the canonical gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, as well as on the novel The Gospel According to Jesus Christ, by José Saramago. The first chapter examines the representation of Jesus in the gospels of St. Matthew, St. Mark, St. Luke and St. John. In the second chapter, the novel is the object of analysis. It brings attention to the passages that characterize the humanity of Jesus depicted by Saramago, wich differ from the myth represented by the evangel ...
