Indonésia : construção do estado e dinâmica regional

Abstract

Este trabalho aborda a relação entre a construção do Estado indonésio e a inserção na dinâmica regional e internacional. Para tanto, esta pesquisa trabalha com as principais forças políticas que competiram entre si desde o início dos movimentos anticoloniais, nomeadamente o Nacionalismo, o Comunismo e o Islamismo. A partir da comparação entre estas três forças e a avaliação do debate protagonizado por elas, este trabalho visa analisar as principais forças por trás do perfil de atuação internacional e o curso da política doméstica indonésia. A pesquisa se divide em três grandes processos históricos: I) a luta pela independência; II) a democracia parlamentar, a Democracia Dirigida e a transição para a Nova Ordem; e III) o período atual, pós-Suharto. Como objetivo de pesquisa, o trabalho procura responder as questões mais relevantes para o estudo de Indonésia: Qual é a sustentabilidade do atual crescimento econômico e político do país? Qual é a força das iniciativas de cooperação regional daquele país frente à atuação das grandes potências na Ásia-Pacífico? Quais são as principais forças em jogo na esfera doméstica daquele país? Além destas questões, o estudo atribui sua justificativa social ao crescente papel da Indonésia no cenário internacional e do aumento das possibilidades de cooperação bilateral entre Brasil e Indonésia. Neste contexto, o ano de 2011 foi especialmente significativo no incremento da cooperação bilateral. Como conclusões de pesquisa, o estudo aponta que, ao contrário do que afirmava a bibliografia do início da década, o Estado indonésio não está à beira do colapso, como apontaram diversos analistas. Entretanto, sérios problemas permanecem, tanto no nível externo quanto no nível interno. Dentre os principais indicadores para a sustentabilidade do desenvolvimento econômico indonésio, destaca-se a questão da escolha da nova capital.

This work address the relation between the Indonesian state building and its insertion on the regional and international dynamics. For this, this research deals with the main political forces that have competed among themselves since the beginning of anticolonialist movements. Namely, Nationalism, Communism and Islamism. From the comparation among those three forces and the evaluation of the debate protagonized by them, this work looks for analyze the main forces behind its international profile and the course of domestic politics. The research is divided in three historical moments: I) The National Awakening; II) Parlamentary Democracy, Guided Democracy and the transition to the New Order; and III) The present period, post-Suharto. As the objective of research, the work seeks to answer the most relevant questions for Indonesian studies: what is the sustainability of the present economical and political growth of the country? What is the power of regional cooperation initiatives of that country face to the acting of Asia-Pacific powers? What are the main forces in domestic politics sphere in that country? Furthermore these questions, the study attributes its social reason to the growing role of Indonesia in international scenario and the increasing of the possibilities of bilateral cooperation between Brazil and Indonesia. In this context, the year of 2011 was particularly meaningful in the increasing of bilateral cooperation. As research conclusions, the study appoints that on the contrary that what was affirmed in the bibliography of the beginning of the decade, the Indonesian state is not on the brink of collapse, as affirmed by various analysts. Nevertheless, serious problems still, both in external and internal levels. Among the main indicators for the sustainability of Indonesian economic development, it is highlighted the choice of the country's new capital.
